Experimenting with long shutter exposures on Michigan Ave.

This gallery is a collection of shots from different nights spent wandering Chicago with my Nikon D50, back when I was still treating manual mode like a high-stakes guessing game. These weren’t polished outings; they were cold, dimly lit experiments in seeing what that 6-megapixel sensor could actually handle.

So much of my photography journey is and continues to be “trial and error”. Nothing better illustrates this better when I lived in Chicago and wondered the streets taking photos and seeing what worked and what didn’t.
